Children of God

Mosiah 5:15 - "Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen."

First, the condition that we must be steadfast and immovable, meaning that we will always rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us and follow its direction. When temptation rises to vere off the right path, turn to God, and he will keep you steadfast and immovable in your beliefs. With that faith in God, it is only natural that we would abound in good works because of our love for God. And it is promised, that if we remain faithful and follow the Holy Spirit, the Lord will seal us his, and we will become the everlasting children of God. We will be granted eternal salvation and be able to live with him forever.

To me, this is a great promise, and every day I strive to follow the Holy Spirit in everything that I do, that I may be pleasing unto the Lord. I know that I am a child of God, and that God wants to seal me his forever. And to feel that love from him is amazing.
